WHO ARE WE

Footstep Mortgage has been set up specifically to simplify the process of finding and applying for a mortgage.

As a mortgage is normally the biggest financial commitment most people take on, we believe it is important for our customers to have a full choice and the back up of fully qualified advice.

All our Advisors hold the required qualifications to enable them to provide you with the information, guidance and advice that you may need. They have come from varying backgrounds, including Banks, IFA Practices and Estate Agents, and have a wide range of knowledge and experience in the mortgage market.

- We aim to provide you all the information you require (including initial costs, monthly costs, and potential future costs).

- We do not charge broker fees *
- We do not hassle you with hard sell
- We do not work with a set panel of lenders

(*In some cases, where we need to take on a significant amount of extra work in placing a mortgage, we may charge a fee. This will always be fully disclosed prior to any chargeable work being undertaken)

Most of our clients just need us to find the best rates and schemes on the market, but there are many others that require further guidance through the maze of different lenders, particularly where they have particular needs.

Some have problems proving their incomes (typically self employed, or commission/bonus earners)

Some have Employment issues (Contract workers)

Some have current or historic poor credit ratings

Some have little or no deposit

These are all typical problems, which we encounter regularly, and we have specialists available to help with these issues. In many situations we can place the “problem” cases with high-street lenders; however, we have access to lenders that specialise in “difficult to place cases”, and can normally find something to fit.
